World Showcase: China
I think our family collectively loves the China Pavilion in Epcot the most. We have our individual favorites, but this is one we all enjoy visiting, and make an effort to see each trip.
The main dining room, Nine Dragons, is always very easy to get into (with or without a reservation) and is consistently good. Clare can eat her weight in lo mien and red bean ice cream here, so that would be her recommendation on how to spend some free time. The counter service location, Lotus Blossom Cafe, is also a good choice if you are on the go. It can feel a little cramped in there, but the service is fast and delicious!
There’s also a small kiosk outside the Pavilion, Joy of Tea, that sells snacks (LOVE the rolls), and beverages, like specialty cocktails, beer and wine native to China. Also– water, soda and the other general goods you’ll find everywhere in the park. Here’s a picture of Daniel enjoying some plum wine, here!
There are several shops inside the pavilion and also outside, next to Joy of Tea, where you can get anything from umbrellas, to chopsticks, to gorgeous authentic clothing. They have some seriously great stuff…and last time I was there, and entire section dedicated to cute, cuddly PANDA BEARS!!
This cool building, above, is where the movie “Reflections of China” is housed. It’s a good break for your feet and from the heat, but we much prefer to spend our time eating and shopping. China also has the most awesome acrobatic performances throughout the day.
This pavilion has such a peaceful feel to it, and I hope you’ll make this a part of your next Epcot adventure!
